Balanced to LSI, not guesswork

The numbers we balance your water to

The Langelier Saturation Index keeps water comfortable for swimmers and gentle on plaster, tile, heaters and salt cells. These are the targets on every report.

1–3Free chlorineppm
7.4–7.6pHideal range
80–120Total alkalinityppm
200–400Calcium hardnessppm
30–50Cyanuric acidppm

Salt pools add a salt reading (typically 2,700–3,400 ppm depending on the cell). Franklin's municipal fill water is moderately hard, so calcium is usually added rather than removed.

Pool maintenance FAQs

Everything homeowners ask before signing up for a maintenance package.

Every full-service visit includes water testing and LSI balancing (pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid and sanitizer), skimming, brushing walls, steps and the tile line, vacuuming as needed, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, a filter pressure check with cleaning or backwash as needed, an inspection of the pump, motor, heater, automation and salt cell, a quick leak check and an emailed report with photos.
Weekly service is best for most Nashville-area pools; lightly used pools can be serviced every two weeks. Properties with heavy tree cover, high bather load or shaded yards (common in Belle Meade and Brentwood) usually need weekly visits to prevent algae and equipment strain. Request a free site visit for a tailored recommendation.
Chemical-only covers water testing, chemical dosing, emptying baskets and a basic equipment check. Full service adds all of the cleaning (netting, skimming, brushing, vacuuming), filter cleaning and a complete equipment inspection. Both include a detailed service email with photos. Inquire about which package is best for you.
Pricing is a flat per-visit rate based on pool size, whether there is a spa or water feature, salt versus chlorine, tree cover and the package you choose. Request a free site visit and you receive a clear, itemized quote before anything is scheduled.
Yes. Robots and automation handle circulation and floor cleaning, but they do not test water, add chemicals, clean filters or catch a failing pump seal. Most owners with automation choose the chemical-only plan.
We balance to Langelier Saturation Index targets: free chlorine 1 to 3 ppm, pH 7.4 to 7.6, total alkalinity 80 to 120 ppm, calcium hardness 200 to 400 ppm and cyanuric acid 30 to 50 ppm, adjusted for salt pools and water temperature.
Yes. Salt pools are still chlorine pools, so we test and balance the same parameters, track salt level and CYA, and inspect and clean the salt cell so it keeps producing chlorine.
Usually yes. If we shock the pool or make a large chemical adjustment we will tell you how long to wait, typically until chlorine returns to a normal range.
The issue is documented with photos in your visit report and you receive a written estimate before any repair work. We only proceed with your approval, and we specialize in energy-saving upgrades such as variable-speed pumps and efficient automation that lower operating costs and extend equipment life.
Yes. All technicians are licensed where required and covered by full liability insurance. Our managers run regular quality checks and system evaluations so you get consistent, professional work every time.
We hire only experienced technicians, run regular quality checks and perform full system evaluations to catch issues before they become headaches. We optimize equipment for efficiency and longevity, deliver clear itemized estimates and refuse to tolerate mediocre work. Where others compromise, Bright Water demands excellence.
